Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Jonathan Attiyah, OD, FAAO

Neuro-Developmental Optometrist

Dr. Attiyah was raised in La Verne, California. He is a proud alumnus of La Verne Heights Elementary School, Ramona Middle School, and Western Christian High School. In 2020, he graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, concentrating in Clinical Movement Science, and earned University Honors. He is also an active member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, an organization that invites only the top 7.5% of undergraduate students.

Dr. Attiyah went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Chicago College of Optometry (CCO) in 2024. During his clinical training, he completed external rotations at Tayani Institute in Laguna Hills, CA; the Brownsburg Veterans Affairs Clinic in Brownsburg, IN; and Bowden Eye Institute in Jacksonville, FL—where he gained valuable experience in ocular disease. While at CCO, he received several accolades, including the Pediatrics and Vision Therapy Award, the Clinical Honors Distinction Award, and the School Spirit Award. He also maintained active membership in the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society throughout his optometric education.

Following graduation, Dr. Attiyah pursued advanced training through a residency in pediatric and traumatic brain injury visual rehabilitation at Northwest Eye Care Professionals, affiliated with Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. He is currently working toward fellowship status with the Optometric and Visual Development Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA).

Dr. Attiyah has presented research and case reports at multiple AAO annual conferences, including: “Right Hyperphoria and Accommodative Insufficiency Following a Concussion in an 11-year-old Athlete” “Car Collision Causing Convergence Insufficiency and Constant Alternating Exotropia” “The Stabilization of Left Postural Alignment and Right Field Neglect with the Use of Yoked Prism and Left Occlusion in a Patient with Cerebral Palsy” “The Accuracy of Prism Lenses from Online Retailers” His undergraduate research involved analyzing eye tracking using ASL MobileEyeTM technology.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Attiyah enjoys playing and watching sports, going to the gym, and spending quality time with his family and wife.
